Founded by husband-and-wife team Patricio and Laken in 2025. While our business is new, our roots run deep. Patricio comes from a proud lineage of cigar makers, with knowledge and passion passed down through generations. He learned to roll cigars at a young age from his father, who learned from his own father before him. His family owns Don Rey Cigar in Puerto Rico and a tobacco farm in the Dominican Republic, where the legacy continues to grow from the ground up.

Patricio spent his youth working in his father’s shops, and eventually opened two cigar lounges of his own in Columbus, Ohio. From 2018 to 2020, he not only ran these shops but also brought live cigar rolling to weddings, golf outings, and private events. Although the pandemic forced the closure of those businesses, the spark never died.

 

Now, we are bringing this passion back to life through Capa y Familia. We specialize in premium, hand-rolled cigars for unforgettable events, combining artisanal skill with warm hospitality. Whether it's a wedding, private party, or corporate gathering, our goal is to create a one-of-a-kind experience rooted in tradition, family, and craft.
